For entertainment purposes only. Kanji Name Oracle is an educational and entertainment tool. The kanji suggestions and fortune readings it produces are not authentic Japanese names or genuine predictions of the future. They are respectful, culturally-informed approximations.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using kanji.luvisyouth.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the service

The Service is a free, browser-based tool that:

Suggests Japanese kanji (Chinese-derived characters) that approximate the phonetic shape of a name you enter;
Calculates a traditional Japanese "Seimei Handan" (姓名判断) fortune reading from the stroke counts of those characters;
Displays the meaning, reading, and cultural context of each suggested character;
Allows you to share the result on social media.

3. Entertainment and educational purpose only

The Service is provided for entertainment and educational purposes only. Fortune readings are based on a traditional cultural framework, not on any scientific or predictive methodology. We do not claim that the readings will accurately predict your future, personality, or compatibility with others.

4. No warranty of accuracy

While we apply multi-layer quality filtering using only the 2,999 Jinmeiyo kanji approved by the Japanese Ministry of Justice, we do not warrant that every suggested character will be perfectly appropriate for your context, locale, or audience. Cultural nuance, regional variation, and personal preference all matter.

⚠ Do not use results for tattoos or other permanent purposes without expert verification. Even with our quality safeguards, you should have any kanji you plan to tattoo, engrave, or otherwise commit to permanently reviewed by a qualified bilingual Japanese language professional. The Ariana Grande "shichirin" (BBQ grill) incident is a public reminder of why this matters.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service to harass, defame, or impersonate any person;
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically copy our character data or fortune logic for redistribution;
Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law, including fortune-telling regulations in jurisdictions such as Pennsylvania (18 Pa. C.S. § 7104) or New York (N.Y. Penal Law § 165.35);
Use the Service to generate kanji intended for legally binding documents, official registrations, or commercial branding.

6. Intellectual property

The Service's code, design, fortune interpretation text, and visual assets are © 2026 Kappy. The underlying kanji characters and the Seimei Handan framework are part of the Japanese cultural commons and are not claimed as our intellectual property.

Results generated for individual users (your name in kanji, your fortune reading) are yours to use for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kappy shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes but is not limited to: tattoo regret, social embarrassment, business decisions made based on fortune readings, or any cultural misunderstanding that may arise from sharing results.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Kappy harmless from any claims arising out of your use of the Service in a manner that violates these Terms or any applicable law.

9. Modifications

We may revise these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts having jurisdiction over the Osaka District Court area.
